GIOPAGANI dresses Rubelli: design meets textile
Two creative worlds meet in the name of research and materiality: GIOPAGANI and Rubelli – through the Kieffer brand – present the Ornella armchair, now dressed in Sassi, one of the most distinctive fabrics from the new Untitled III collection.
The collaboration celebrates the affinity between two realities united by a cultured and personal aesthetic vision: on one side, the GIOPAGANI philosophy, which translates memories and cultural references into unique, contemporary design objects; on the other, the approach of Kieffer by Rubelli, a textile atelier that explores weft and warp with respect for heritage and an ever-curious eye on the present.

“Kieffer sees textile as the preferred interface for the tactile exploration of the domestic environment,” affirm Formafantasma, art directors of the Kieffer project, underlining how the new collection elevates weaving into an autonomous and radical language.
Sassi perfectly embodies this vision: its design stems from a simple, almost primordial gesture, the essential shape of pebbles. The fabric itself speaks of subtle luxury: the soft sheen of chenille, the tridimensionality of jacquard, and the strength of a weave crafted with mastery in the Rubelli workshops.
The Ornella armchair, inspired by the bon ton allure of the Dolce Vita, engages with the upholstery through its enveloping lines and artisanal detailing. The quilted backrest, generous comfort, and sculptural structure are further enhanced by the tactile richness of the Kieffer fabric.

The encounter between GIOPAGANI and Rubelli materializes in a project that places the culture of craftsmanship and the narrative power of materials at the center: a gesture that unites two languages, the art of living and the art of textile, into a single story of style.
The Ornella armchair dressed in Sassi will be on view from September 2025 at the Rubelli showroom, Via Fatebenefratelli 9, Milan, and at the GIOPAGANI showroom, Via San Marco 26, Milan.
